Tyson P Wheeler is a writer, director, producer, YouTuber, and content creator out of Studio City California.
He has created several short films for the festival circuit including, Life in Space, Ghost Perv, and Making it in Hollywood: A Horror Story (in development). His films have been screened at film festivals including Holly-shorts Film Festival, and Dragon-con Film Festival in Atlanta GA.
He began his career as a local TV commercial director out of Atlanta GA, having directed and edited over fifty local TV commercials for used car dealerships, doctors’ offices, plastic surgeons, and other local services from 2006-2008. He co-created Definitive Media Productions LLC.
After moving to Hollywood in 2010, he became a professional YouTuber, having co-created, directed, co-hosted, co-written, and edited the popular, comic book and movie review channel, The Comic Book Girl 19 Show for 8 years. (2012-2019). The channel received over 59 Million views and gained over half a million subscribers for its 119 Episodes he created over the channel's lifetime. Popular topics included Epic History Game of Thrones, X-Men History, Prometheus, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Art and Science Fiction topics. He co-hosted as the characters "Robot" and "Space Brain" opposite Comic Book Girl 19 who both appeared on a panel at New York Comic-Con. The channel was featured in Variety Magazine in 2013 and was managed by Maker studios. He co-founded 19 Productions LLC.
The success of the YouTube channel led to a three-part series for VIMEO, Epic History X-Men. The series chronicled the history of the Marvel Comics X-Men and their cultural significance from 1963-1980.
He has co-created, produced, and directed for VERIZON streaming service, the 13-episode show titled, GREATER CREATORS, (2017) a biography series on many prolific directors, writers, and artists of the 20th century who influenced pop culture today. Episodes included Alan Moore, Stanley Kubrick, Stephen King, Frank Frazetta, Frank Herbert, Hayao Miyazaki, Ray Harryhausen, and Gene Roddenberry.
In 2021 he created the series, Secret Teachings of Cinema, a five-episode series on occult teachings in movies. Films explored included The Matrix, Wolf of Wallstreet, They Live, Wallstreet, Squid Games, Dune, Network, Snowpeircer, 1984, V for Vendetta, Spider-Man Far From Home, Forbidden Planet, and Star Wars.
In 2023 he co-created the series, Taboo News Today covering uncovnetional and overlooked news stories on YouTube.
He is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design for Film and Digital Media.
